| Quality Control-------Testing requirements are an inplant operation. Passivation to Mil-Specs requires a 24-hour water immersion. Also, salt spray is required on many processes. We do both. Amalgam has a full-time chemist and a complete wet chemistry laboratory. Coating weight, thickness, and other tests are done right here so you can have your work processed and tested in the shortest amount of time possible!! New testing equipment is on the drawing board for Amalgam, like our atomic absorption unit. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Environment-----We are part of the community so we have a responsibility to keep it safe. Plating tanks are monitored regularly for maximum performance and all effluent is monitored by us and the water department. The building and equipment are inspected every 6 months or yearly depending on category; i.e.: fire department, water back up valve, building hygiene, etc. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
| Associations----Amalgam is proud to be involved with associations like the National Association of Metal Finishing (NAMF) and its affiliate the Texas Association of Metal Finishing (TAMF). Membership in these associations gives us access to the latest activities of our government and newest innovations of the plating industry nationwide. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
